[SuprA]

My current 2 year old desktop broke down and only using a old Sony Laptop. Im planning to either purchase a new laptop or a dekstop and a lcd monitor. What suggestions do you guys have?

The laptops Im looking are Toshiba G40 or the Sony thin and portable retail prices are $2000. Or I could purchase a fairly economic desktop ($500) and a 22" Lcd for $300 approx. I know many of you would say it all comes down to what you need the most, but I use laptops most of the time at school and I hardly game anymore, but this problem has been coming to me alot. Any suggestions?
