to be brutally blunt..i would not choose them..acers are a problem..hp are ok,,but not great...my choice is Dell laptops..for quality build,,and you can get drivers without hassle..i have had 3 dell laptops in the last 12 years..and i am speaking from experience,,i have never had one problem..but you can only buy from dell direct..cpu i would got for pentium centrino core 2 duo if you can, maybe othe users will give you advice. but check out dell as there onboard graphics and sound are better than acers. i did have a dell inspirion 9400 but sold that on ebay a month ago..i have now got the new inspiron 1720 core 2 duo with the g-force 8600 gt 256 ram. exc laptop..and fast.
