Some critical files were accidentally deleted yesterday. I reinstalled/repaired XP which seems to work fine. Except now I have no sound. While that seems fairly straightforward to repair, when I ran windows Update to install all the security fixes and updates, for some reason the installs kept failing.
I ran Belarc Advisor. This is some of the info. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong and how to fix it? I don't want to leave the system vulnerable for lack of the proper updates being installed. And a little help in getting my sound working again would be nice.
