Is the sound the only thing that is different?

Did you replace the HD because it was full or because it failed? If it was full, your technicians should have copied all the information from the first HD to the second OK.

Does your video work as before?

Navigate to Device Manager and delete the reference to the sound - it should show as a exclamation mark or a question mark.

Reboot and let Windoze Plug and Play do it's thing. If you are prompted for a driver location, try c:\windows\inf, c:\windows, or c:\windows\system32
