When you restart you modem your computer is still using the old IP Addess. When you reboot your computer gets assigned a new IP Address. Here's a short cut so you won't have to reboot.

Go to your RUN dialog box [START =>RUN].

At the DOS prompt type:

IPCONFIG /RELEASE

After you see the list of STUFF scroll by type:

IPCONFIG /RENEW

at the DOS Prompt type:


EXIT


You should be good to go...Hope this helps.
