also vista is big. does it warrant being 15 gig installed. xp is about 3.5 gig fully installed and can do just as much as vista. also it was a silly thing that microsoft did and make at least 7 versions of it. all they needed to do was do vista premiun vista ultimate and vista business like xp. it will be at least another 18 months before i think vista will be installed in about 80% of pc,s. as the other user said. i will stick with xp till sp3 comes out. and maybe change in 18 months time. sp3 will give at least 10% more performance on xp. xp has everything i need to use on apps. i think vista will be targeted at gamers, as its got directx 10 for the new games coming out.
