Well, people, in their infinite wisdom, NTI have created an "UPGRADE" to their Backup NOW! software and have NEGLECTED to make it backward compatible!!! How SHORTSIGHTED is this?!? (For those who do not know what backward compatible means, it simply means that the new program, with all of it's newly improved features, etc. WON'T and CANNOT work with previous versions of ITSELF!!! The files themselves AREN'T CORRUPT, they're just not SUPPORTED anymore!!! NTI "assures" the public that they will be making the NEXT "upgrade" backward compatible...in the meantime, those of us who backed up their important files from a laptop that DIED can't even restore them to our desktop system!!! (Bitter?!? You BETCHA!!!)
So, rejoice in the fact that the files are not necessarily corrupted, just unattainable from the new version of the program...
