Reformatted and now no sound. Please Help!

Hi everyone.
I had a friend reformat my computer. Since it was reformatted, I have had no sound. I have figured out that it is because I need to install the proper drivers, but I don't know how to do that. I do not have any cds that may have come with my computer, so hopefully there is a way to do this without them.

This is my info from belarc (it might as well be in another language...lol)

Hopefully this is enough info for someone to help me. I know VERY little about computers.

Operating System
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

Processor
1.80 gigahertz AMD Turion 64
1024 kilobyte primary memory cache

System Model
Hewlett-Packard Pavilion dv8000 (EZ589UA#ABL) F.42
Enclosure Type: Notebook

Main Circuit Board
Board: Hewlett-Packard 309B 49.55
BIOS: Hewlett-Packard F.42 06/21/2006

Thanks for your attention.
