hey there, this problem was addressed within another thread, but because it's a bit old i wasn't sure if anybody would get to read my reply. i hope it's okay to post this as a new topic.
i've played the sims 2 and all the expansions besides "bon voyage" with no problems, but after installing bon voyage and attempting to run it, i get the following message:
"Failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters in this system!
Please make sure you have a DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters and have installed the latest manufacturer provided driver.
The applicaton will now terminate!!"
i have directx 9, so what can i do to resolve this?

please let me know if additional information is needed. from what i'm seeing in another thread, i might want to try updating my motherboard driver, but as i'm pretty much clueless i'm not sure exactly what my driver is, or where an update might be available, or if that's even a good idea. i downloaded a directx update from the microsoft site, but that hasn't seemed to help.
