get the best you can afford. the best dual core or even quad core 2 gig ram or more, a super fast graphics card with 512 ram. that way come 2 or 3 years time. your have a decent spec still. i can see by 2012 cpus will be quad core, maybe dual quad cores and running a 6 ghz per core.
