you have to use the keyboard to enter all commands. make a note on paper of everything you do, if you need to exit the BIOS at any time use the Esc key

Check whether audio is enabled in the BIOS

As soon as you switch on the comp press the < Delete > the Main Menu opens http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...ain%20menu.JPG

use arrow key to go to Advanced Menu http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...ced%20Menu.JPG

use down arrow key - go to PCI Configuration - Press Enter

down arrow key to OnBoard PCI Devices Control - Press Enter
http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...0Control.J PG

check that Onboard AC'97 Audio Controller is set to [Enabled] or [Auto] if not use the + key to change

Press F10 to Save & Exit

say y

comp will then load Windows

Then install audio driver again

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions
