Sorry, if double postings are not allowed but i thought i should keep you informed about it.

Just checked the driver, the M$ UAA is included in the downloaded file from Asus

to be sure audio is onboard speakers should plug into the I/O plate as shown here, if in an expansion slot then you have a sound card installed, click image to focus http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...0io%20slot.JPG

if they do plug into the I/O plate then you need to check if audio is [Enabled] in the BIOS, heres how

All commands are done using the keyboard,

Start computer and immediately press the < Del > key
the BIOS main menu opens
http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...ain%20Menu.JPG

use right arrow key to go to Advanced Menu
http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...ced%20Menu.JPG

use down arrow to go to Onboard Device Configuration - Press Enter

Azalia Controller should be set to [Enabled] if not use down arrow key to highlight the press the + key to change

Press the F10 key to Save & Exit

y to changes

the computer will then load Windows.

Install the audio driver again

Try a System File Check go to Run – type “sfc /scannow” (without the quotes and note space after sfc) have Win disc available in case sfc needs to replace or repair any files. The programme runs with no alerts and then closes.
