You have indicated the PC still works, yet you don't say if it works under both ME and XP (dual-boot) - it is difficult to help without all the details.
IF - it works, but you just don't like "this mesage" - then why mess with it? Be grateful it still works. Copy all yr data-files, =letters, photos etc somewhere safe....
With the cost of HDD's so cheap, I wonder why folk don't just start afresh, it means you have a clean installation and gives you a reasonable spare HDD, once the new system is working OK. When you installed ME - wasn't that 5-years ago? - HDD's don't last forever. A new HDD is about 40usd - and will outlast the one you have now.

Yes, the computer still works fine. [Sorry I left that out.] Yes, both ME and XP work. See, I wasn't sure if having both on there would be a problem--that's why I was wondering if it was bad that I did.
I never installed ME; I got it with the computer already on there. So I guess if it's no problem, I'll let it be! Thanks for the help.
