If anyone knopw a reliable site then can I choose a fresh email address as the mood takes me? I'm hoping such a strategy would reduce the risk of having my real email swampt with advertisements and so on - if the member-site was compromised, due to poor security - or a member of staff stealing a data-disc.

Any other thoughts on email?

It never hurts to have extra email address for different forum....I have used "fastmail.fm" for past 5 years and I haven't had any spam email at all....you can start there:
