Exclamation Dell Laptop Inspiron 1200-Windows-XP Home Edition

Hello all, I am a newbie here. I found this board because I have a problem with my laptop-Dell Inspiron 1200 with Windows XP Home Edition. It is not booting up at all. Let me explain further the details and how it got to this point. I wanted to sell the laptop and decided that I wanted to remove the information I had there and decided to wipe the entire drive, well that is where the problem begins.

This laptop had a pre-installed XP Home Edition so therefore no CD bootable disk. I had this laptop for a few years. It belonged to my son and I bought it from him because he could not afford the payments, so I took over.

Here is where I am at with the laptop, I hope I did not mess it up further, desperate measures call for desperate times, I used my desktop emachines cd recovery cd on the laptop.. I know, stupid move but like I said before.

Now I get the options of safe mode etc but none of them work, it returns me to the battery recalibration screen which I have already recalibrated 2 times.

aint getting nowhere.. please help..I decresed the value 2 times because of this move.
