since last post i have lost all audio. before at least windows media player worked, but now nothing. when I go to play songs on mediaplayer it acts likes it is playing something but no sound (no error messages either). I thought that maybe the laptop speakers weren't working so tried to use the headphone jack, no luck. also upon startup and shutdown there are no normal windows sounds. I went to the dell website and downloaded their current driver for the dell 700m (Sigmatel STAC 9750 AC97 WDM Audio Driver) and no luck.any direction or thoughts? here is system info:
