COLOR="Red"]Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case[/color]
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

ps try Win Update site, appears XP has a generic driver, choose Custom and see if under hardware a driver listed for Network, Ethernet or Cnet pro
