TSST L632N ATA Device Win Vista HP Pavilion same problem
I have Win Vista and new Laptop Pavilion DV6748US with above CD drive - I put a flash drive in - two dialog boxes -one for the flash drive F and one for the cd drive came up - both with same files on each!. Removed flash drive and cd rom drive had disappeared altogether - Device Manager says error code 10
Updating drivers etc got nothing. Spent 1 hr on phone with tech support -did the filter delete as above - then IE wasnt working . Unplug all connections from pc and router, pulled battery as directed. Plugged it in and it all come back up. I then pitched the flash drive. but several weeks later the cd drive was gone again -no clue! Got the fix through a chat so I have the transcript as an email if anyone wants it. What is with this? It's been a year since your problem - why is the problem still around?
