Try this:
Go to your Device Manager. -Start > Control Panel > System > Device Manager If there is an error, such as a bold yellow question mark, on any of your audio devices:
Then right click it and click on Update.
It will then open up a window for location of the software, leave everything as it is and click next.
Finally it will search for any updates available (may take awhile) with some luck Windows will find whats missing and will download the audio devices.
