Depends how comfortable you are with making changes on your mainboard.
There are two ways to do this. Removing the cell is easiest to explain. Some pics would help here but I'm not in a position to take any.
If you want to try. Then pull the plug from the wall, open the case and look at the board in front of you. See a silver coin like object? Remove it carefully. Wait a minute, refit and power up. What happens?
