I recently did a clean re-installation of my OS. But it seems that the sound driver wasn't installed. Here's the Belarc report:

I tried to install the missing drivers by first installing the hardware, but it says that the hardware cannot be installed because it lacks a necessary entry (INF was written for Windows 95 or later??). My previous OS was also Windows XP pro, and yet it's the first time that I encountered this problem.
