I have a Dell Dimension 4600 desktop pc. I have formatted it and loaded Windows 2000. It now only operates on a 16 bit colour output. I checked my device manager and it doesn't have "Display Adapter" listed. Instead, it has a series of yellow "?" next to
Ethernet Controller
PCI
PCI
Multimedia audio controller
VGA compatible ...
and a few others. I'm guessing I need to update or install drivers for these devices but when i use the options to search for the drivers, it comes up with nothing.

I need to know what video/audio graphics card I have so i can search for an update. All the device manager tells me is I have something called VGASave. I'm assuming this is a default tho...

Sigh.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section

Open Everest - expand Computer - select Summary - select Report - Quick Report - HTML . The report opens, using mouse hold the left button and starting at all above Debug-PCI - highlight all the text - when highlighted right click mouse - select Copy
Then open post – right click mouse – select Paste and the report will insert.

it should show the video and Ethernet which is installed
