It isn`t a Linux problem ,windows doesn`t come with Nvidia drivers either they are downloaded via web or disc as they are in fedora ,the only difference is that you have to install display config it isnt a biggy ,click the link and install ,copy and past into terminal a couple of lines of script to activate ,once installed yum extender keeps it and your whole system up to date with all applications.
install the fedora 9 gpg key and just add and remove anything in repository,games,applications,dvd recording,codecs to comix.,etc. auto updates,free anti virus,commercial firewall,full office suites,not to mention some of the 30,000 other stable packages out there.
