Terminal is easy. I view it as an antiquated way to achieve the end result is all.
As I said, I used it around Ten years ago.

Yum looks pretty cool though. Easy to use, but still needs a UI front end. Best of both worlds.
I assume I could save often used scripts as "click to execute" files instead of typing every time.

Tried Suse, Ubuntu, couple of others. I use IPcop and managed to install some extras on that, so I'm not doing too bad.
Also checking out Clarkconnect, since it looks like it might be a handy server solution.

EDIT: I like point and click. That's why I moved from the C64. An OS shouldn't need technical expertise to achieve desired results. Certainly not combinations of command switches.
The Install DVD picks up my video card right after boot. It's the display that isn't managed. It works fine at 1024x768, but it is larger than that. Vista/XP runs it at full resolution, right off, but not this. Nor touchpad clicks, which is why I was so dismayed.

I allready reinstalled it back to the original partition I'll progress as I get time i suppose.

When Linux has the ease of use Windows has, and the compatability, it will be widely acceptable.
