Hi Barb,

Thank you very much for the detailed steps. I followed all the steps in here but still could not install the audio driver.

Step1 : Installed Chipset and restarted the system.

Step2: Downloaded Realtek audio driver (zipped file), extracted and tried to install the driver maually by choosing the path in audio driver install step. Hardware did not recognise the driver software

Step3: Downloaded Dell Audio driver, extracted and tried to install just as given in your steps. But still hardware did not recognise the audio driver.

I have already changed the motherboard from Dell last week. Since I have upgraded to Win XP, they will not troubleshoot as I'm supposed to have Win XP home edition (PC was bought with this OS) to get the support.

Is there any other approach/ workaround to install the driver?

I really appreciate your help!
