I went to MSI Liveupdate usinf IE8. all is up to date. I downloaded their utilities and their INFOView said under "Sound" that "Sound Card Not Detected"

Maybe i will just go to my local Office Depot and find a new machine. This whole thing is really getting me down.

been checking on the web, a thought, M$ SP3 is causing a lot of problems, did the problem happen after you installed SP3?
