Hi, I am having issues with my sound as well. And like most everyone else, it happened after a reformat. According to the device manager and the troubleshooter, everything is hunky-dory. After reading thru multiple pages of this thread and not finding the info I was looking for, I decided it was time to break down and post my issue.

So here is the information on my motherboard. Is there any other info you need? Thank you very much for your time and especially, your expertise.
