I do have the same problem as many others here. Mu Acer Aspire 3680 doesn't transmit sound over the headphone jack when I plug one in. I already have tried out all solutions which are suggest here and none worked.

FYI: Realtek has end of Juli a package of new software drivers released (below link), version 2.0 for various AAL8xx chipsets.

I have spent quite some time with the installion of those, but unfortunately it has not resolved the problem.
I have written an email directly to Realtek as I would like to know if this is a known problem and if, yes what the solution is.
