Unhappy Can't Install Nvidia Drivers

Hi

Just replaced my last graphics card (ATI RAdeon 9600 - died on me after 5 years) and installing Nvidia Geforce fx 5200 128mb card in its place (same size). After removing 'old' drivers and installing card, Windows asks to install the drivers. CD is inserted and it chugs along, pulling through files. However it then says it can't install them. Tried to pull them off the disk direct, autorunning off the disk, forcing it to get them off the net, etc. Have disabled antivirus, etc just in case. No dice.

Before i put it through the wall, any suggestions please? Its not as if I've never installed a driver before, so losing the will to live!

I'm using a 5 year old system (Evesham) but original specced except for graphics card using dual 2.8Ghz processors, 1 Gb RAM, XP, 250Gb hard drive (which is only half full).

Thanks.
