YOU ARE THE MAN HANDERSEN Thank you! ShellExView is a sweet utility. I always had the ntdll problem when right clicking files, so it was logical to assume the problem was with the context menu.

In my case the culprit was SECUREROM. What a piece of @#$%. I disabled it with ShellExView and voila, things are working again!

I guess when I installed a game (GRID), it installed the securerom menu control too (how nice of them) which seems to be glitchy. I'd suggest others try the shellexview program and look for unusual or unnecessary third-party addons before disabling DEP or taking other measures that might impair your system further
