you need to check the BIOS to see if audio is [Enabled]
as soon as comp boots press the< Del> key main menu opens

use down arrow key to go to Intergrated peripherals - press Enter key

AC97 should show [Enabled] if [Disabled] use down arrow to select and the the + key to change
press F10 key to save & Exit
y key to accept changes
install audio driver again
