you need to check that audio is [Enabled] in the BIOS
as soon as the comp boots press the <Del> key the Main menu opens
use the down arrow key to select Intergrated Peripherals - press Enter key
Onboard AC97 should show [Enabled] if [Disabled] use down arrow key to select - then the + key to change
Press F10 to Save & Exit
y key to accept changes
if at any time you wish to Exit the BIOS press the Esc key
install audio again
