No Audio on my Sony Vaio

Hi, I am also having problems getting my audio hardware to work on my laptop. I own a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ260E. It originally came with Windows Vista Home Edition, and now I am having a lot of trouble finding a driver that will work with my computer. I believe it uses Sigmatel or IDT High Definition Audio Codec, or something like that. When I go into the device manager I choose to update driver and choose up driver automatically, it begins to search and finds the driver, but then I get an error "Cannot Start this Hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware. This device cannot start. (Code 10). I tried uninstalling it also and then searching for new hardware and re-installing it and searching for the drivers automatically again, but nothing still. I get NO sound! I don't understand! Why won't it install? I would be so grateful if anyone could help me and let me know if it is even possible to find a compatible driver. I neeeeeeed audio! Thanks in advance.
