I did the regedit steps as mentioned earlier and now I can see both my dvd and cdr drives in My Computer, but they both appear as hard drives. Basically, i now see three drives, my C drive as always, and now my D and E drives show up. If i put a cd into either drive, it will not read. If your using windows XP you are supposed to download a program
from Microsoft called'Download Guided Help' and run the 127kb
program. Did you do this?
