It even says in Device Manager that everything is working correctly, but I'm still getting "No Audio Device" showing in "Sounds and Audio Devices" in the control panel. Any help would be apreciated.

I have had a complete nightmare with this and have finaly cracked it.
Click on Start / Settings / Control Panel / Sound and Audio Devices - Choose the Audio Tab then on the Default device there is a drop down box. Make sure that your Sound card or on-board sound is listed ...mine is: Realtek AC97 Audio ...click on that to make sure it's the one showing in the drop down box.... Do this again for both Sound playback and Sound Recording...When you click back on the Volume Tab you should see that the device is your device you then have the option to Place Volume Icon in the Taskbar....Good Luck
