My friend just helped build a computer for me and Im having a hard time finding all the right drivers. However, i seem to have found everything i needed except the elusive sound driver. Dxdiag does not read a sound card, so I downloaded Everest and it says i need a ac'97 driver. However every time I try to download one and install it my computer crashes. The bluescreen says there was a problem with portcls.sys.
Please help me if you can, this is driving me crazy.
