I guess that this is just one of the delimas which faces the internet and the world wide web. Though the web has lead to the great liberation of information it has however also given raise to some very important negative things like spam, child porn, etc.
Educating employees and other people about what do to with spam is a key point to.
People should be made aware to read the agreements when they sign up for things on the Web. I recently signed up for a particular registration and there was a tick box which was ticked by default and read:
Allow us and our affiliates to send you information on great offers and promotions.
These sorts of things will most always catch surfers out and will result in endless amounts of spam.
