My "soundblaster live" is in an expansion slot, my mobo sound is "realtek". I am using my soundblaster to reduce stress on CPU. My realtek has HD audio while my sound blaster is just normal, I use 2.1 speakers anyways. It uses a PCI slot 2nd from the bottom.
