We have an application that works under Windows Xp with MSOffice XP Standard and MSOffice XP french user interface pack.

This application no longer displays text properly on IBM nestista 8305-31U workstations (using 845G chipset) after installing Windows XP Sevice Pack 1.

The application works properly on other workstations. (ex Dell with ATI rage).

I have looked unsuccessfully all over the place (IBM, Intel, Microsoft) for patch(es) that would solve this problem.

Problem description: text wraps incorrectly in display window when a boundary word contains an accented character. ie the word is split at the accented character instead being displayed on the next line.

I'm just curious to see if anyone else has encountered this problem and I'd be real happy to find out what the solution is.
