I really messed up my desktop a little while ago. I decided (big mistake) to do a system restore prior to loading SP 3. I thought that might solve my audio problems.
Yikes, it not only didn't fix anything - it completely screwed up the whole computer.
Well, now I cannot access anything. If I go to try to do another system restore, I get the message "windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
It even pops up that I need to activate my system, which I cannot do either because I get the same message.
Truthfully, I feel like throwing this computer out the 2nd story window.
Does anyone have any idea of how to start to fix this? I have no disks.
