hi it isn't a case of fedora messing up your comp,but a case of reformatting just delete the partition and reformat to fat32 making sure to set fstab and then try reloading windows.
you can use live cd to repartition it is always easiest kanotix is my favourite for this procedure,once windows can be read you can then reformat in NTFS if you wish.
