I have the same issue on my desktop. I can get past the black Windows XP screen and then land-up in the Blue Windows XP screen. Nothing happens from there on. My computer is not frozen as my mouse does work. Can you suggest what you did to recover from this issue?

Also, I have a dual-boot system (Ubuntu + Win XP). How do I force Win XP to read from my Win XP CD while boot-up?

Any suggestions?
