I have been checking back to this post for over a year to find a solution. What a shock to find something that worked today from the last poster. When I did the volume icon the internet icons and safely remove hardware icon (didn't realize the last one was missing
) came right back - I was thrilled. Then I restarted the compter and they were gone. Repeated and the same thing happened. At least when I want it I can get it. Thanks.
