There is a password recovery disc for xp which will allow you to change all passwords from admin to guest and should repair your sam file as well as allowing you to change all profile passwords for your own security I would advise installing latest av updates and firewall updates once into your system again.
I cannot give you a link to password recovery disc as it is unethical to do so as an unscrupulous user could open up a locked out xp o/s with this but the theory is sound,good luck.
