hmmm, when I saw this thread I looked in my device manager and I notice that every drive on my NON-scsi system is defined as a "scsi" drive. This has me concerened..being only "somewhat" tech minded.
My system is a Soyo sy-645dx Dragon Ultra, with a P4 and SiS chipset. I installed the latest SiS chipset drivers a month or two ago. The system has one DMA 133 Maxtor 40 gig drive and 2 cdroms (DVD & CD-RW). I am sure I have the dma 133 cables installed and to the proper busses on the MB.
is a DMA133 drive supposed to show up as scsi? where can I find what mode it is in (besides the bios boot screen)? When I look in the device manager there is no mention of PIO type modes, only a scsi id (0)
