Since the driver came as a self extracting exe, I tried following your procedure as best I could. I ran the exe. It created a bunch of files and folders. I tried to do a driver update from SoundMax in the device manager since nothing was yellow flagged. I had to search through the folders when I did the browse to find one that "un-grayed" the ok button. I completed the install and rebooted, but I still ended up in the same state with no SoundMax in the playback selection menu. The hardware tab says the device is operating properly, but the volume tab says there's no audio. It's been like that, but I assumed it was because no device was selected on the audio tab. Anyway, any thoughts on what to try next, or did I not do this process correctly? Thanks
