Still need assistance
I tried all suggestions and unfortunately, the service will still not start. I have been looking into this further and found that the Background Intelligent Transfer Service must be running for the AU service to run. This is not working either. The error we received when trying to start this is:
Could not start the Background Intelligent Transfer service on <computername>
Error 126: the specified module could not be found.
I tried to find more information on the Microsoft website and found this service was updated in XP SP 1. Due to this, I uninstalled the SP and tried, still fails. If anyone has any futher ideas, I would appreciate it. Also, if I happen to give in and pay Microsoft to fix the problem (which should be free) then I will let everyone know the fix. Thanks!
