Stupid Sound problem in WinXP Pro
Strange problem in WinXP Pro, sound works fine except for certain instances, like for instance when adjusting the volume control, it works but the sample sound output is changed to internal pc speaker beep! Also the startup and shutdown sound doesn't play. I've tried many things, sound control panels, SoundBlaster control panels, even reinstalling drivers for SoundBlaster. No change. Next I'll try physically uninstalling the card and reinstalling, along with latest drivers from creative. If anyone knows of this problem, intermittent or inconsistant sound problems within WinXP, let me know thanks.
