fozzy, if it is any comfort to you, I had almost the same issue and after lots of hardware swapping I found out that my Slot 1 adapter card had gone bad, so don't be surprised if one of the reason your computer started to reboot would be hardware failure. As known_criminal said, first thing would be a cleaning / dusting then go after replacing the parts.
