Yes. WindowsXP is password protected. That feature continues to work. When I boot up, I am still prompted to enter a password. Once the password is entered, the boot up process continues. The problem is when I fire up Outlook Express. After a boot, I was always prompted for a password to open Outlook Express. I liked this feature. It provided some security that my mail was protected from someone snooping near my desk.
